Digital Marketing: The future of digital marketing and innovation is of great interest to businesses and consumers alike. These are poised to have substantial impact on the world and often redefine the way we live and how we interact with the world around us. Organizations should focus on providing value to consumers and there are numerous ways this can be done, often underutilized. Concentrating on value enhancing activities can thrust innovative organizations, whether startups or existing, into the future.

Technology: Innovative and emerging technologies enhance the world including how consumers live and interact with society. Organizations are using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Edge, the Internet of Things (IoT), the Internet of Everything (IoE), the Cloud, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), Extended Reality (XR), Websites, Search Advertising, Social Media, Mobile Apps, Smart Environments, the Metaverse, and other technologies, platforms, and environments to advance the state of innovation. Future technologies will continue to be implemented in different settings.

Privacy/Security: At the same time, Privacy and Security Engineering for innovative implementations are paramount to continue to provide value. Consumers are more aware of privacy and some demand it. Incorporating privacy and security from the beginning is fast becoming the recommended norm and organizations need to work hard to protect sensitive and personal information.

Law: Legal issues include navigating a web of law from various jurisdictions. However, the law is often way behind technology. This creates confusion relating to legal requirements for businesses, which must nevertheless be interpreted while continuing marketing innovation. Marketing, privacy and security laws are emerging across various jurisdictions and must be implemented in ways to balance legal requirements and marketing innovation.
